Wonder Woman movie review - Aussieboyreviews

WILL WONDER WOMAN FULFIL DC FANS WITH FAST-PACED ACTION?

It’s not all that fast-paced, but is still an intense DC action film meant for big fans. Wonder Woman is also best for older kids due to violence, but is still pretty enjoyable.

Aussie boy's thoughts

Patty Jenkins’ portrayal of Wonder Woman’s adventurous background neither labels as anything too special or uses the opportunity to achieve something completely new. Thankfully however, we get a very good glance at the superhero’s origins which means plenty of fulfilling action for the genre’s greatest fans. Alike majority of superhero tales, there’s the standard setup, buckets of action and an impressive execution. Most audiences are able to enjoy that, especially if discovering action-fantasy-adventures.

Gal Gadot’s performance as the protagonist isn’t overly noticeable, but is fairly acceptable. The Wonder Woman is strong, clever and engaging, but is just like every other action flick hero you can think of. She’s powerful, but her entire backstory… not as much.

Why does this film deserve such high ratings as a satisfactory and basic story? Mainly because the action and battles are generally entertaining, but are visually gripping and what we were all expecting. For action fans, it’s easily a fun journey to the cinema, but could’ve resulted as perfect if it were significantly shorter and less sluggish.
