Aussie boy's thoughts
Zombieland masters what every zombie comedy should behold: equal amounts of refreshing fun, gruesome gore and satisfying delight. However, it’s quite rare when we’re provided with exactly that. The most recent blast was 2004’s Shaun of the Dead, in which horror-comedy fans received amusing characters and a gory adventure – with a hilarious touch.
Zombieland seems to be a parody of Shaun of the Dead, except it’s been chopped, split, divided, tossed and built totally differently. Nearly the entire population of humanity has been bitten and transformed into zombies from the first few minutes. And the people left are some of the hysterical characters. Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are the brilliant main duo, accompanied by more memorable characters played by Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin.
Horror movies need fascinating characters, but comedies need funny characteristics. Zombieland, a horror-comedy, includes both. Plus, we’re also treated with a hilarious Bill Murray along the way. If you’re just looking to be entertained, this movie also has you covered. Zombieland will have viewers laughing all the way, exhilarated by its speed and surprised by the overall theme.
