The Boss Baby movie review - Aussieboyreviews

IS THE HUMOUR IN THE BOSS BABY PRETTY STANDARD FOR TODAY’S FAMILY ANIMATIONS?

Of course it is, but The Boss Baby is a decent adventure with good sibling themes. The film is entertaining and can be funny, especially for children, despite some average ideas throughout.

Storyline

Tim’s life flips around when his parents give all their affection to his new suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby brother. But when Tim discovers that the baby is not who he seems he is, they both team up against the plans of the CEO of Puppy Co.

Aussie boy's thoughts

This imaginative animation is a fun choice for family movie night. The silly humour will give the kids a fun giggle and the whole story is enough to enjoy, despite the rude humour and slapstick imagination which is just a common element in most kids’ animation movies. The film seems to entertain reasonably and push a message towards the audience.

It’s not a specific message, but it’s the film’s main theme: family (mainly siblings). It’s not a dorky comedy that’ll touch a child’s heart in a powerful approach, but is just meant as a fun tale. The Boss Baby is about the fact that there’s an equal amount of love in a family.

So yeah. It’s a nice family message, but other than that, this flick obviously has its ups and downs. The imaginative elements are pretty fun and creative. There’s some silly but original and amusing ideas in there, including the fantastical idea of where babies come from and their goals in life. However, the film’s climax is really standard, plus not every scene is going to entertain everyone. The Boss Baby is a movie that a lot of audiences would recommend for kids and families, but it’s a pretty typical tale that’s just fine.
