Aussie boy's thoughts
Robert Downey Jr. is undeniably the perfect actor for Iron Man. Although the superhero-themed story can be rather unoriginal and a ton of the climatic action moments can be quite predictable for today’s standards, this is a superhero action movie done exactly how it should be and the cast happen to be the ones who make it worth watch.
Iron Man is an excellent and intelligent superhero origin movie. The film focuses on a billionaire engineer named Tony Stark as he uses high-tech armour when he is captured in Afghanistan, but he continues to use his highly-weaponised suit to fight against evil. Get your popcorn, drinks and superhero-good mood ready for when you watch this very entertaining action flick with sprinkles of humour and as every movie needs, great action!
A lot of action sequences in today’s action movies usually drag out to an unnecessary extent where it just becomes boring to watch and nothing new is happening every 10 minutes. Iron Man is nothing like that, with action that will actually have you excited in your seat and that feeling doesn’t let go when explosions aren’t of sight. When you think about it, it can be very hard to pull off action movie performances as they usually aren’t close to the drama genre. But the cast of this film prove that wrong. It’s popcorn-fun entertainment. That’s all you can really say.
