DO THE JOKES IN GET HARD “LIVE UP” TO THE TITLE?

Yes, so expect constant loads of d### jokes, sexual humour and crude innuendo/references. Although it’s not for children, mature teens will enjoy Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart in Get Hard. It’s absolutely stupid and utterly hilarious.

Aussie boy's thoughts

This Will Ferrell/Kevin Hart comedy consists of frequent rape, sex and d### jokes. And since they’re all verbally (and mildly visually) performed by these two big comedians of silly actors, it’s utterly stupid, incredibly dumb and almost-unbelievably mindblowing.

Get Hard centres on Ferrell’s silly, wealthy character who’s convicted of fraud, has a month before he’s sent to prison and seeks Hart to train him so he makes it out alive and doesn’t “become somebody’s b####”. Surprisingly, this film has a lot of humour, that’s mostly crude, but still works out very well. It’s quite entertaining, the duo is stupidly fun and the entire execution couldn’t be anymore ridiculous or silly.

Unfortunately, the jokes in Get Hard only last for a few seconds of good laughter before they just die out. It’s also one of those extremely silly comedies that exists to offend, all done hilariously with racist, homophobic and crude stereotypes. But in the end, it’s just another forgettable comedy with no real aim. Overall, it’s actually worth a watch, but not worth too much hype.
