are we there yet? movie review - Aussieboyreviews

WILL EVERY FAMILY ENJOY ARE WE THERE YET?’S CHILDISH HUMOUR?

Kids most likely will, but parents surely won’t. Are We There Yet? is a stupid, childish and slapstick family comedy featuring dumb and unfunny humour. The characters are also very irritating.

Storyline

Nick is a ladies’ man who gets beat around by two annoyingly mischievous kids when he promises to transport them to the city in the absence of their mother, a woman who Nick is trying to impress.

Aussie boy's thoughts

Are We There Yet? is entirely and utterly boring, childish, irritating, pesky, dumb, terrible and is entirely memorable… in an appalling context. It will also cause you and other families to ask: what kind of stupid idiots create these types of films? It’s an extremely poor family comedy that doesn’t deserve Ice Cube, hype or anyone’s time. Do not watch this movie! It’s a dreadful pain in the neck and is constantly foolish.

Ice Cube has disappointed us with his overly peaceful performance towards the horribly pesky child characters in this unwanted family comedy. During the full 90 minutes of this movie, you’ll be suffering in boredom, so you may as well just avoid this one.

There’s nothing else to say other than it tried too hard and completely failed miserably. Other than the hate-able characters, terrible cast and kind of feeling this film offers that feels much like when you’re forced to witness irritation for a period of time that feels as if it never ends!!! Other than that, the kind of humour Are We There Yet? presents is obnoxious, childish and pesky. Who wants to watch a dumb man look after his vile girlfriend’s pesky children when you may as well watch… a crumb of bread on the floor or something? At least a crumb of bread isn’t going to annoy you as much as this family comedy did. The fact that director Brian Levant and a bunch of screenplay writers mean for you to laugh at this is disappointing and shameful. Skip this terrible movie for goodness sake!
