Aussie boy's thoughts
You can’t call yourself a true horror fan without having viewed A Nightmare on Elm Street. Wes Craven’s horror-slasher classic is original, freaky and is a must-watch for teen horror movie fans. The whole design of the classic Freddy Krueger, played outstandingly by Robert Englund, slaughtering teens in their nightmares is simply an engaging horror story. What’s just as awesome is how well director Wes Craven managed to execute it.
The entire film is very smoothly-paced and pretty much never wastes time. It immediately forwards into the story, takes some time to get to understand the setting, and then… Slashing! The slaughtering and killing in A Nightmare on Elm Street is so ridiculously amazing. Expect nightmarish sequences and tons of blood.
What this horror film is so well-known for is its classic horror star, Freddy Krueger. Again, nobody could ever portray the character as well as Robert Englund. You can expect a really gripping cast as well, in which they fight through as mystery begins and the nightmares approach. Any yes, it will give many kids nightmares, although its not as terrifying now as is was back in the time of its release. Definitely a film that real horror fans must see, and its genuinely very entertaining and enjoyable.
